About this position

Mazars in Korea is looking for a professional who will provide a high quality service to Mazars’ clients. This position will manage the full process of accounting related data activities. The role will also take full ownership of all client communications, ensuring timely responses, follow through, and resolution of client inquiries.

*This position will have a 3-months probation period. (Fully paid)

During the probation period, your performance will be assessed, and after a 1:1 session with the manager and HR team, you will be officially joining Mazars in Korea.

Roles & Responsibilities

You will be consulting clients of tax and payroll issue regarding expats. The scope of work may include the following :

  • Communicating with expatriats on the tax impact of their assignment in Korea and ensure employees through occasional briefings of issues and concerns related to global mobility.
  • Support year-end payroll initiatives and reporting requirements to ensure consistency with year-end tax filings.
  • Review social security obligation and related treaty to mitigate double social security taxation.
  • Review payroll withholdings and reporting requirements when the expatriats leave a company.
  • Prepare and review global income tax filing (May 31)
  • Prepare and review other related filings for real estate acquisition or overseas financial account reporting.
  • Compute and review gross-up.
  • Prepare hypothetical tax calculation and tax equalization calculation based on each client’s policy.
  • Ensure all benefits (including equiy-based compensation, i.e. stock option, RSU etc.) received by expatriats are properly managed from Korean tax point of view.
  • Coordinate with client’s HR teams and other Mazars offices’ global mobility.

Working environment

  • Remote working 3 days per week (scheduled)
  • Flexible working hours system (core-time 10:00 – 4:00)


  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3 years of experience in global mobility.
  • Experience in an accounting service provider firm (outsourcing firm) is preferred.
  • Business level English (spoken and written proficiency)
